Sunshine Life

Charlie Loughran is the owner/operator of Sunshine Life a home, garden, and gift boutique.  The 1100 square foot store is housed in a historic building on a unique corner lot in the heart of downtown Ball Ground and opened on June 24, 2021.   

For over 30 years, Charlie has been a shopping center executive managing regional, super-regional and designer outlet shopping centers in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Charlie’s lifelong passion for retail, gardening, and gifting is a perfect combination to bring life into her own shop, after many years of working with top national retailers to increase sales and traffic in their stores.

Sunshine Life carries truly distinctive and uncommon mix of merchandise and strives to have something for everyone, at reasonable prices.  Unique and one-of-a-kind goodies are Charlie’s specialty! Charlie herself grows the vast array of houseplants and succulents in the store.  Repurposed items are especially interesting as they may have had a life somewhere else, but with some customized love and care, an embellishment, a coat of paint– they can have another life in another home. 
 
In her free time, she gardens on the 50-acre tree farm in Ball Ground she shares with her husband, a retired Navy veteran and 4 dogs.
